[Appendix] How Scoring + Payouts Work
Understand how player performance is scored, how payouts are calculated, and how liquidity is reallocated post-game.
The Chains of Chaos (COC) is a deterministic system for redistributing liquidity based on game outcomes. It is designed to ensure that player actions - specifically, how they perform in battles against meme tokens - directly influence how value flows across the Embr ecosystem.
How the Winning Meme is Determined
The winning meme of each round is the one that kills the most enemy health across all battles in that round. This is what we call its boost performance.
Here’s how it works:
Every time a player backs a meme and enters the arena, that meme contributes to the total health destroyed.
The meme that aggregates together the highets total health destroyed (from all players using it) wins.
All collateral staked by players is aggregated into the winning meme token.
Payouts are given in that winning meme token, increasing its holder count, market cap, and visibility.
As an example, suppose we had two collaterals in this round of Chains of Chaos (meme A and meme B). Players collateralized $1000 worth of meme A and defeated enemies of total 1000 health, and other players collateralized $500 worth of meme B and defeated enemies of total 1500 health (they got lucky). Then meme B would be the winning meme in this round.
Before 6/19
Previously, the winning meme was determined solely by amount of collateral that was backing this meme. In previous instances, meme A in the above example would have been the winning meme.
